The Action Engineering team continues to grow with the addition of Christian Rivera in the role of Senior 3D Engineer. Christian coaches and advises customers on Model-Based Definition interoperability software tool decisions and administration, CAD PMI authoring methods, and MBD processes for Engineering Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection applications.
Prior to joining the Action team, Christian’s career began as a Senior Designer for a medical device organization. He was responsible for the standardization of modeling and drafting best practices across sites and collaborated on launching two new products while introducing 3D printing technology. Christian has 18 years of MBD/MBE experience, including 10 years in the Aerospace & Defense industry and 11 years of US Army Information System operations. Christian is responsible for leveraging his significant experience with MBD interoperability software programs and relationships with software vendors to evaluate and problem-solve on behalf of customers. He positively impacts and influences teams and organizations to move towards the MBD mindset, working in a collaborative environment to achieve quality models conforming to best MBD practices.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a certified Scrum Master and Product Owner and holds certifications from PTC University as well as CompTIA Functional Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), and Microsoft DP-900 Azure Data Fundamentals.
Christian’s native language is Spanish and he continues to serve in the United States Army Reserves. When he is not working, Christian spends his time with family and enjoys mountain biking, running, and the arts.
