The Action Engineering team continues to grow with the addition of Jennifer Vigil in the role of Digital Engineering MBD Consultant.
As a Digital Engineering MBD Consultant, Jen is responsible for ensuring PTC Creo parts and assemblies incorporate model-based definition practices that comply with ASME MBD standards. She analyzes clients’ models and provides feedback, along with coaching MBD authors on modeling best practices.
Jen also uses her design and manufacturing experience to ensure the geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T) scheme used by authors conveys functional requirements.
We asked Jen a few questions:
What are you most excited about in your new role at Action Engineering?
Helping organizations update their modeling practices to ensure all necessary information transfers throughout the product lifecycle, reducing the chance for miscommunications and wasted time. This allows innovation to get into the world faster.
Learning from a fantastic team with deep technical knowledge in various fields, software packages, and applications. I get to learn something new every day.
Do you have any special skills or talents?
I have a knack for distilling complex ideas into their key components and being able to teach this to others. I enjoy using this skill to mentor others and make learning technical concepts easier.
What do you do in your non-work time?
In my free time, I spend time with my husband and son and enjoy the outdoors by running, cycling, hiking, or skiing.
Welcome Jen!
