The Action Engineering team continues to grow with the addition of Kate Hubbard in the role of Systems Engineer. Kate is responsible for managing customer relations, developing market analysis & strategy, and supporting operations, including the 3D CIC conference.
Kate began her career with Rolls-Royce Corporation’s engineering leadership development program, where she completed rotations in Electrical Power & Control Systems, Design Engineering, and Performance Engineering in Indianapolis, Indiana and Engineering for Services in Dahlewitz, Germany. Her work with Rolls-Royce included a weight-neutral component redesign with 50% cost reduction as well as a patent for can-annular combustor design with spring-loaded crossover tubes.
Dreaming of the Rocky Mountains where she grew up led Kate to Gates Corporation in Denver, Colorado as a R&D Process Engineer. Her role with the New Technology & Innovation team focused on automated inspection, quality management, and design for manufacturing. Project management consulting for engineering startups brought her to Connects Workspace, where she was introduced to the Action Engineering team. Kate is passionate about continual improvement and looks forward to applying her Six Sigma training to digital enterprise.
Kate holds B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She founded Mountain Cravings, where she shares recipes for healthy(ish) comfort food. Kate lives with her husband & dog in a historic miner’s cabin on Clear Creek in Golden, Colorado.
