In the midst of a global pandemic, the immediacy to “evolve or dissolve” becomes very apparent. Just a few months ago, less than 7% of workers in the U.S. could choose to telework; today, telework is the only option for much of the world.
COVID-19 has forced all of us to think differently, and we’ve recognized that business is not usual right now. As part of our ongoing evolution, Action Engineering’s upcoming MBD Using Modern GD&T course will now be held virtually on May 18-22, 2020.
We’re excited to offer this new format to allow colleagues from around the world to join us, and our hope is that industry can use this time to continue advancing our knowledge and practices together. The course is scheduled so that colleagues through the U.S. and western Europe can comfortably complete the training during daytime hours.
MBD Using Modern GD&T has previously been offered as a live course spanning 3 full days in a classroom setting. To improve the virtual experience, this session will be held over 5 days with 4 hours of instruction per day. Our goal in adjusting the format is to maintain high student engagement, ease fatigue of remaining seated all day, and allow students to continue engaging with their other work before or after the course.
We understand that there are heightened financial concerns in this time of uncertainty. To make this training as accessible as possible, the course price has been reduced by 33% to $995 per person. This offers a substantial savings when also considering the travel and accommodation costs that would be incurred to attend a live course.
Dan Feighery, MBD Trainer for Action Engineering, will instruct this course. Dan is experienced with both Action Engineering’s MBD practices and Scott Neumann‘s (Chief Project Engineer for Technical Consultants Inc.) GeoTol Pro Geometric Tolerancing training. Both Action Engineering and Technical Consultants Inc. help author the ASME standards for product definition and GD&T, and provide MBD and GD&T training courses and consulting services through their respective companies. Dan came to Action Engineering from the Aerospace and Defense industry as a former manufacturing and quality director.
