Abstract: Leveraging Standard Development Organization for Value in Model-Based Implementations
Leveraging Standards in the Digital Enterprise offers tremendous potential benefits for data reuse, process optimization, and automation for 3D MBD business implementations. However, given its importance, how do we ensure Standards Development Organization (SDO) strategies align in the complicated ecosystem of product realization? Do authoring standards synergize with data standards, and do those integrate with process standards?
This presentation will describe Action Engineering’s approach to championing alignment of the SDO ecosystem and present a real-life example of maturing and aligning ASME authoring standards and ISO data and process standards for mechanical hole representation data.
