The Action Engineering team continues to grow with the addition of Steven Fulkerson in the role of Digital Engineering MBD Quality Consultant.
As a Digital Engineering MBD Quality Consultant, Steven will help organize and update an organization’s design data and processes to leverage the advantages of MBD. Starting with ensuring GD&T is correctly authored and associated with the CAD, this includes ensuring quality, manufacturing, supply chain management, and purchasing are updated to receive such digital information.
Steven spent 30+ years designing, defining how others should document designs, and managing a worldwide team in the automotive sector while working for Delco Products, ITT Automotive, and Valeo. This included significant work on mechatronic assemblies, injection-molded plastic parts, electrical routings/connectors, metrology fixtures, stampings, and high-pressure aluminum die castings. He brings energy, precision, and a global mindset to every challenge.
We asked Steven a few questions:
What are you most excited about in your new role at Action Engineering?
I enjoy helping people find ways to be more efficient in their design, manufacturing, and quality methodology sequences. It is so much more than simply embedding GD&T into 3D models (albeit that is a crucial step to get right).
Do you have any special skills or talents?
My mom made sure all of her children learned how to cook and sew! I even made my little sister’s prom gown for her.
What do you do in your non-work time?
Out of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids as well as crafting keepsake woodworking projects.
