Without a map or even a single starting point, navigating your way on the Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) road can be downright frustrating. However, with the right navigation tools, you can absolutely reach your destination successfully.
After many years of coaching clients through their model-based journeys, we have strategically developed a Strategic Program that guides you and your implementation teams on a successful 3D Digital Transformation journey. Here are examples of a few things we do in the READY phase of our Strategic Program.
- Executive Pitch – this is a workshop to facilitate communication around MBE benefits, costs, and timelines. Too often, engineers are handed this initiative by executives who do not understand the time or budget required. This workshop gives them the tools and insights they need to communicate with their management and get better buy-in and resource commitments.
- MBD Proof of Concept – one of our standard mantras at Action Engineering is that people cannot work toward a future they cannot see. It is much easier to stay where they are. The Proof of Concept is a standards-compliant model of a company’s part or sub-assembly. It shows what the data will look like, how it can be presented and how it can have a positive impact on the depth and accuracy of information provided to operations and quality.
- Consumer Adoption Strategy – sometimes engineering teams have been creating models for a while, but they are stuck within engineering, they never get used by operations, quality, or supply chain. This is a set of workshops focused on getting the models out of engineering and into the work of the rest of the product lifecycle teams.
- MBE Kickstart – this workshop brings a cross-functional team together to expand the ownership of the MBE transition, delineate pilots and pilot criteria, and develop roadmaps and recommended tools architecture. It can build on the previous steps or stand alone.
We can meet with you and your executive team to assess your readiness and create a plan for your unique circumstances, history, and challenges. Contact us today to get your Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) digital transition successfully started (or restarted).
