From prototype to production: the pain points of trusting digital.
This presentation will be begin with an overview detailing the company history of Metro Aerospace and our mission of shaping the future for more efficient aerospace travel that will contribute not only to cost savings, but will also reduce harmful environmental emissions. As our primary production consists solely of 3D printed products, this presentation will focus on the step by step processes of working through the various stages of testing and manufacturing, and the process of moving from prototype to production. It will highlight our successes as well as delineate various “pain points” we’ve encountered along the way and the creative problem-solving required to improve these areas.

As CEO of Metro Aerospace, Leslie brings over 30 years of executive leadership structuring and executing mission critical business strategies in fast-paced, global marketplaces, with a proven track record of achieving business outcomes. She seamlessly combines operational excellence with sales leadership, for both small and large organizations, developing controls to improve profitability and increase revenue while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Leslie’s career has centered on leadership in manufacturing-related industries including automotive and aerospace, where she built strategic relationships with customers such as GE, UTC, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, Volkswagen, Daimler, and Ford Motor Company. Additionally she has consulted for many years with some of the world’s most prestigious Private Equity firms such as Cerberus Capital Management and The Carlyle Group, helping to maximize value by evaluating target business acquisitions’ operating processes, recommending streamlined business processes, as well as executing the recommended plan post acquisition. Prior to joining Metro Aerospace, Leslie held positions as Vice President of Business Development and Chief Information Officer for the Dynamic Precision Group, a Carlyle owned Aerospace parts manufacturing company focused on engine parts and components.
Leslie holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan, as well as, Business Administration from Arizona State University.
Leslie is married to Darran and together with their Siberian Husky Koga, they live in Jupiter, Florida. She enjoys all types of sports, cooking, wine tasting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
