Rosemary Astheimer, an Assistant Professor of Practice at Purdue University, teaches MBD and PLM to both students and professionals. Her curriculum includes CAD, GD&T, CAD data management, and CAD interoperability. Organizations undergoing digital transformations in their design and manufacturing space need digital-savvy graduates who know about the new systems.
On summer break, we catch up with Rosemary to find out what she taught last year and what she will teach your budding new hires next year. We will hear about the topics she teaches and compare her experiences teaching young undergraduates versus seasoned professionals.
Topics include:
• 3D Data Exchange
• Design Optimization
• Design for Manufacturing
• Importance of PLM
