3D CIC returns to Golden, Colorado for the 2017 event. The small-town charm of historic downtown Golden provides a convenient and walkable location for the week’s events.

3D CIC + QIF Symposium will be hosted in the Foss Auditorium, with happy hour receptions capping off Tuesday and Wednesday in the one-of-a-kind Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum. Lunch will be served in AMC’s Conference Center. QIF Working Group meetings will be held at AMC as part of the QIF Summit.

Golden is nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, just 15 miles west of Denver’s big-city style. Fly into Denver International Airport (DEN) on your way to Golden. Public transit can get you there. The RTD A Line (light rail) transports riders from the airport to Union Station, located in downtown Denver. Transfer at Union Station to ride the RTD W Line to the Jeffco-Golden Station. From there, downtown Golden is only 3 miles away. Schedule a ride on the Golden Community Call-n-Ride bus for that last leg of the journey.
The event venues are within minutes of each other by foot.
American Mountaineering Center
Free parking for meeting attendees is available in AMC’s parking lot located on the north side of the building. Parking is limited.
Table Mountain Inn & Golden Hotel
Limited free garage and surface parking is available for hotel guests and meeting attendees.
Two parking garages and several surface lots in downtown Golden offer daily parking. The first two hours are free, with each additional hour costing $2, to a maximum of $8 per day. Refer to the downtown Golden parking guide for locations and details.
Street parking in downtown Golden is free for 2 hours only between 7 am and 5 pm. Street parking is free after 5 pm. Refer to the downtown Golden parking guide for locations and details.
Numerous attractions, dining, hiking trails, shops, and galleries are only a short walk from the event venues in downtown Golden. Some local favorites include the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum, driving up Lookout Mountain for the stunning views of Golden and Denver (perhaps with a stop to Buffalo Bill’s Grave & Museum at the top), walking along Clear Creek, and working out at the Golden Community Center (pool & fitness center). Coors Brewery (free tours), and several laid-back craft breweries are just blocks away.
