Action Engineering is happy to welcome Philip Jennings to our team.
As the Director of Programs & Strategy, Philip’s responsible for strategically ensuring the execution of contracts across the Action Engineering consulting services portfolio while also architecting scalable and adoptable solutions for our customers.
Philip’s key responsibilities include managing Action Engineering’s project portfolio, leading business development and capture, and streamlining internal proposal and project management systems & processes.

What are you most excited about in your new role at Action Engineering?
Working with such a talented and capable team. I’m excited to be surrounded by so many great professionals. Similarly, I look forward to creating value for our clients, both new and future, as well as Action Engineering’s talented workforce!
Do you have any special skills or talents?
I aim to simplify complexity, transforming intricate technical concepts and organizational challenges into clear, actionable program frameworks that teams can execute with confidence. I’m committed to professional development and mentoring. Recognizing that building internal capability and cultivating talent is essential to sustained program success and organizational resilience. My futuristic mindset allows me to anticipate industry trajectories, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs, ensuring our programs remain relevant and forward-looking in the rapidly changing landscape of digital transformation. Through critical and strategic thinking, I rigorously evaluate trade-offs, assess risks and opportunities, and design multi-layered strategies that align programs with business objectives while driving measurable outcomes across training, consulting, and knowledge system initiatives.
What do you do in your non-work time?
In my non-work time, I prioritize gathering with family and friends and playing with my three boys, who keep me energized and grounded. I’m actively involved in our local church, where I find community and purpose beyond professional life. I stay active through snowboarding and tennis, both of which provide the perfect blend of challenge and relaxation. I’m a passionate fan of Virginia Tech sports and proudly cheer for the Philadelphia Eagles, enjoying the camaraderie and excitement that come with following my favorite teams.
